The Empty Room (Darkness)

The floorboards in my empty house wait! In vain!
For your footsteps that will never come! Oh pain!
A dusty cracked mug lies on the floor,
And the whole house feels undone.
You are gone!

The clock on the wall strikes ten! PM!
It feels like you are calling my name again!
Then the room goes quiet fast,
It sounds like something from my past,
Almost forgotten past!

I am no longer asking the world for a reason to live.
No begs, no please!
I remain in the dark room to pray!
To pray to die! To release!

Because the darkness, only the darkness does not deceive;
it never deceives,
It always returns; it does not betray, no lie!
My faithful companion, the only friend of mine.

I frantically turn on my phone for
To scroll past old photos, before
My thumb gets slow and sore...

On the screen we look so happy and alive (alive!)
And now, all I can think is why? (why?!)
I miss you more and more and more
Although I know you'll never
enter my door.

And I keep reaching out
For a sign, for a spark!
But the silence stays right here
And it gets too dark!!!
