Yes, life's a game! Yes, life's a play!
And in this fight, no victory in sight.
Where you and I just accompany the way,
Our final verse will fade into the night.
Life shows no grace for us;
It throws us into storm and squall,
And seldom favors us,
It censors and enthralls.
But still we say it loud,
To everyone, we make our plea:
We don't want to join the aging crowd,
And death is not for you and me.
So why do we hold on?
Why do we grasp with all our might?
To linger from dusk till dawn,
And seek more troubles in our plight?
And so we suffer on,
But hold our lives so very dear,
We can't stop, the race is never done,
We just run, and run, and run from here.
But still we say it loud,
To everyone, we make our plea:
We don't want to join the aging crowd,
And death is not for you and me.
Until the final spark of light,
We fight for life with every breath,
A risky, fleeting, wild flight,
"Oh moment, stay, defy all death!"
Then realize with dreadful fright,
We're nothing more than ants below,
As snowflakes dance in winter's light...
We're just like them, and watch them go...
But still we say it loud,
To everyone, we make our plea:
We don't want to join the aging crowd,
And death is not for you and me.
We don't want to grow old,
And never let our stories end.
